Relocating to Austin Texas?

My boyfriends job is asking us to relocate to Austin Texas. We are looking into the real estate but know NOTHING at all about the area. Can you tell me a little about the different sections in Austin? Wed like a quiet neighborhood with a backyard but still a close enough drive to the city scene. We are a young couple but have dogs and hopefully a family in the near future. Any advice would be great! thanks!

Really, you won’t find much of that in Austin unless you are rich and can live in one of the nicer gated communities around the city. Your best bet is living in the suburbs around Austin like Round Rock or maybe even Hutto.
